She also played Daphne on True Blood, the HBO drama True Blood in its second season. Ashley Jones received a Bachelor of Human Learning for K-8 at the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1997. Her first job was in teaching Reading in Kindergarten and the 1st Grade at Maury County. Brent Jones was her UT Martin crush. They moved from there to Thompsons Station. She began her teaching career with Bethesda Elementary, where she taught fourth grade. From 1999 to 2000, she taught and completed her masters in Education from Trevecca Nazarene University. She quit the classroom in 2000, when the couple welcomed their son Baylor. Ashley has spent the last 15 years focused on the development of the children of her church and community while serving in various roles. Ashley was an instructor of the Preschool and Student Ministry in Thompson Station Church for over 13 years. Ashley as well as her family homeschooled for three years. As they homeschooled, the children attended a tutorial at which Ashley was a teacher of History in the Kindergarten class and the First Grade. God had clearly shown Ashley and her family that it was important to return to the school. While Ashley was a fan of homeschooling, she also loved having her five kids. Brent and Ashley are parents to five daughters. Silas Eliza, and Cruz attend GCA. Baylor is a GCA student who plays baseball at UT-Martin. Callan is a graduate of GCA, and is enrolled at Western Kentucky University. They are a busy family that enjoys hunting fishing and supporting each other in their favorite sports and activities.
