Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child daughter of Richard McCormick. Her parents were an aunt who worked as a housewife and a father who taught. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. McCormick was an accomplished entertainer and singer at an early age. Her passion was to perform shows using puppets for the neighbors. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was just 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the world of entertainment. McCormick got her first big role when she got a part in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for The Wind It up and It's Broken in The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from a field of 1500 children who had auditioned to play the eldest of three towheaded girls on the brand new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The five-year run of The Brady Bunch was an enormous success. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick told of how in the fifth season of the TV show, she was close to losing her the love of her life to her brother Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice, that during season five on the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. It was likely that we would have a romantic couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't the right time.
